Resume bullets for a career change — evidence, not adjectives
Career changers get squeezed from both sides: relevant work from the old role gets undersold because its title sounds unrelated, and the gap gets papered over with claims — percentages, responsibilities, results — that were never theirs. Both moves fail at the interview. The way out is to translate duties into bullets that stay inside what actually happened, and to mark exactly where the evidence runs out.
Duty in, bullet out — with the evidence attached
These pairs are from the resume-bullets prompt itself. Each bullet keeps the note it came from, and carries the question that could strengthen it:
Bullet 1: Trained two new retail associates on till-opening procedures. Evidence: 'trained two new hires on till opening'. Proof question: Did you create any checklist or receive documented feedback? Bullet 2: Handled customer return requests at the service desk. Evidence: 'handled customer returns at service desk'. Proof question: Can you document typical return volume or escalation types? Target alignment: supported — training, customer-facing issue handling; unverified — customer satisfaction, CRM experience.
Sample data above is fictional, shown so you can judge the output before buying.
How the proof question works
A bullet like 'trained two new associates' is credible as written. It gets stronger only if proof exists — a checklist you created, documented feedback you received. The prompt asks for that proof instead of assuming it, so the bullet grows from evidence or stays honest at its current size.
Supported, unverified — and the difference printed
The output ends with a target-alignment line: which parts of the new role the evidence genuinely supports (here, training and customer-facing issue handling) and which it does not (customer satisfaction, CRM experience). That second list is not a failure — it is the map of what not to claim, and where a cover letter or a course would have to do the work instead. The scope is deliberately narrow: up to three experience bullets, rewritten properly.
